Agreed! Motivated me to commit to writing down our emergency plan, printing out several copes (one for each car, etc.) and pairing that with a kit of supplies. Do it now!
I'll check those out. I'm taking CERT training and we were just talking about earthquakes. There's lots of contradictory info out there. Believe it or not, we live in earthquake country out here. We've had two since we've lived here, and the worst ever earthquake known in the US centered on St. Louis and caused damage through a huge midwestern area because our soil type greatly increases the damage radius over what you have in California. Unfortunately, no one here is prepared for one.
